Omega 3 improves cell function.

It strengthens cell membranes in times of environmental stress and pressure

However, Omega 3 supply needs genetic “tweaking” to enable:

  1. Sustainable supply to the industry

  2. Continuous delivery to the body from a probiotic source

  3. Medicine that can better treat chronic diseases.

Our work started with the discovery of probiotic species that produce Omega 7 and Omega 9.

From this, we ordered one of the genetic constructs to engineer probiotics, and upscale the supply of Omega 3 with postbiotics through precision fermentation.

We also conducted animal trials using our non-GMO probiotic, which showed exciting and encouraging results aligned with in vivo production of Omegas (e.g. increased muscle growth without abdominal fat, gut modulation towards beneficial species, extended lifespan, lack of organ toxicity, etc).

Other Omega types are naturally produced by probiotics

These include Omega 7s and 9s which are a tremendously unexplored medical potential due to the industry’s current focus on Omega 3 (Omega 7 present price = AUD 1,500 per Kg).

Two probiotic species in our library produce O7 and O9, and our marine bacteria need to be investigated.

The daily intake of nutraceuticals is highly important

They are known to prevent the onset and aggravation of diseases triggered by today’s lifestyle, and we want to prove their efficacy also as therapeutics — more information?

a new field called “Post-biotics” is currently much discussed by BigPharma, and we study the use of probiotic membranes as medicines (either for direct use or as models to make chemicals better).

New therapeutics are also in discussion
